In 2004 a group of dedicated, enthusiastic nurses and physicians from CaroMont Health started the first Heart Walk in Gaston County.  Their desire was to increase awareness of heart disease and to raise money to support the Heart Society’s programs.

Over the years CaroMont Health has continued to dedicate significant resources to organizing and hosting the Heart Walk.  Many of the individuals and teams that participate have been personally impacted by the devastating effects of heart disease.  This personal connection has generated a lot of passion, enthusiasm, and some unique fundraisers for the teams.

The Heart Walk is held in the spring each year.
